ELECTED BOARDS

Session

The Session is the governing body of the church, in accordance
with Presbyterian Church. Representatives from the congregation
are elected and serve a 3 year term. The session oversees the
work of our Ministry Teams.

The Board of Deacons

The word "deacon" comes from a Greek word meaning
"to serve, to minister." The Board of Deacons is committed
to caring ministries within our church and community.

REPRESENTATIVE NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The Representative Nominating Committee has begun its task of presenting a slate of officers for the Class of 2013. Chairs of the various ministry teams and small group ministry leaders have been polled; now we ask you, the members of the MWPC faith community, for your suggestions of nominees for elders and care ministers (deacons). Who comes to mind when you think of a church officer, who might possess gifts, characteristics, skills or qualifications to be one who leads us going forward? Who’s on your mind?
