Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church Serving
Greater Cincinnati is a Ministry for Today,
Where All Can Feel Welcome and Understood,
While Gaining Insight About Christ,
and Our Purpose

Our Sunday services take a fresh, uplifting approach to worship,
and encourage spiritual and personal growth, and renewal.
We have a passion to care for each other, and to serve
enthusiastically through ministry, fellowship, outreach,
and education.

Mt. Washington Cincinnati Presbyterian Church is dedicated to
providing light, and leadership – and to meeting the needs of the
congregation and our greater community.

What's New . . .

Bake Me Home
Do something sweet for a homeless family this Valentine's Day! Stop by the church kitchen this Saturday morning, February 13 at 10:30 a.m., and help us fill our cookie mix jars and tote bags! All are welcome to join in this quick and easy volunteer opportunity.

Festival Choir Opportunity

On Sunday, February 21, at the 9:30 a.m. service, we will have our Festival Choir sing “Here I Am, Lord” arranged by Ovid Young. If you would like to sing in this Festival Choir, please meet us at 9:00 a.m. in the Choir Room on that Sunday for rehearsal on this anthem. Hope you can come join in the music making!

Only a few hours...
...is what we need from a few people to complete our church school staff for this school year. We have three spring rotations that are in need of teachers and we ask you to prayerfully consider donating your talent for these four weeks. In these elementary classrooms you will be paired with another person (or bring your own partner!) for a rotation where you will prepare one lesson and then rotate that lesson among different grade levels. The sessions are Feb. 28-March 1, April 11-May 2, and May 9-May 30. Contact Kandy Stone (231.2650/kandy.stone@mwpc-church.org) to discuss these openings.

M.U.T.T.S. at the Movies
M.U.T.T.S. (married, unmarried, twenty and thirty somethings) will be meeting on Saturday, February 13 for dinner and a movie. Come to Great Scott (1020 Ohio Pike) at 5:00 p.m. for scrumptious food followed by a "mystery" movie at Greater Huntington Pierce Point 10 (1255 West Ohio Pike). Looking forward to a movie filled with laughs? Romance? Thrills? Action? Be sure and cast your vote and M.U.T.T.S. will choose what to see Saturday evening. Questions?

MARINERS IN FEBRUARY
The Mariners will enjoy brunch together at the Sweetwine Banquet Center at the Vineyard Golf Course on Sunday, February 21. The cost of brunch is $13.95 and includes juice and beverages. Reservations are for 12:30 p.m. after the 11:00 a.m. worship service that day. Please call for reservations by Wednesday, February 17.
Mark your calendars for the March Mariner event: Tuesday, March 16 at 4:30 p.m. for dinner at the Iron Skillet. More information to come.

COMMUNITY OF FRIENDS (Widows and Widowers)
Shake off the winter blahs and join together for food and fellowship at the church on Sunday, February 28. Bring a dish to share.

COMMON GROUNDS NEWS!
Thank you to the Centennial Celebration Committee for hosting Common Grounds in January and sharing Centennial Celebration ideas. Please welcome the Grounds Crew to Common Grounds for February.

Save the Date for Fun and Fellowship!
Mark you calendars for Saturday night, February 27. The Care Ministry (Board of Deacons) Fellowship Team will be hosting a wine tasting and fellowship gathering at the Anderson Center. We will have several wines to taste and compare. With this knowledge, you will be able to impress your friends with phrases like “this is very fruit forward” and “has a pleasant aftertaste.” Sign up during Common Grounds coffee time starting today.

Presbyterian Preschool Registration - fall 2010
This weekend the registration packet will be available to pick up for the school year 2010-2011. Presbyterian Preschool offers half day classes for 2 ½ - 5 year olds. Registration takes place the first two weeks in February. Church-member families get preference of classes during that initial registration time. Tours during the school day are encouraged so the program can be seen while the children are in attendance. Registrations will also be collected on Sunday, February 7 between services in the Gathering Area. Please call (624.2333) for more information.

LONG-TERM MARRIAGE RECOGNITION SIGN-UP
Sunday, February 14, we will give thanks for God's sustaining grace, and the loyal commitment to promises made so many years ago by those who have been married 25 years or more. If you were married prior to February 14, 1985, please call the Church Office with your marriage date or sign the sheet on the MWPC bulletin board in the Communication Center, so we can list it in the bulletin. (If you participated last year or included your wedding date in your B.I.G. Survey, you need not call the office to be included; we already have your information.)
